splendid monika
Hi everyone! Wow-what a lovely couple of days it has been basking in the outpouring of support from my blogging community for Blog for Digs. It has warmed my heart so much and how wonderful to read about everyone's childhood, such a sweet time in all of our lives...thank you to each and every one of you for your kindness and support! Speaking of blogger friends, today I want to introduce you to Swedish designer, Monika Claassen of Splendid Willow. I loved her blog from the beginning since I have a corner in my heart reserved for Scandinavia. They are a people brimming with talent, incredible design sensibility, beautiful cities, houses & interiors...simply everything is divine and I've never even been there (note to self, I must go there, must). She now lives in the U.S. and calls herself "a happy swede in the u.s." She is I'm sure a special friend to many bloggers and she has become mine...

I am new to blogging, having founded Stonehouselove only 8 months ago and she supported me from the start and is always there with sweet words of encouragement and kindness. As soon as she caught wind of the Blog for Digs event, she contacted me immediately to offer her support...thank you, Mon!
Splendid Willow Avenue, Mon's online store is new, live, and so exciting that Mon is representing the luxury Danish brand Ilse Jacobsen/Hornbaek, maker of beautiful rain gear, designer clothing and to-die-for footwear....Splendid Willow Avenue is featuring the rain gear (the boots are handmade in Europe, music to my ears) and it sure is lovely...
