i gotta have…

1. Neëst…ok, I’m torn…torn between my beloved vintage-inspired pattern-y, layer-y, colorful, cottage-y, handmade aesthetic and the natural, organic, linen-y, woodsy, pure, calming, muted, hand-crafted aesthetic.  I am passionate about both…i love these shops…

not a big surprise that we had an organic baby section at Hey Little Diddle and i’m sure that those items will creep into my collection online as well…

2.  no 74…this kids’ shop has amazing stuff as well…

3.  Lili Grenadine…so sweet and french…always good…

hey little diddle is coming back…

Hey Little Diddle is the name of my bricks and mortar store that i co-owned and operated with my sister, interior architect Maria Lucoff, for 13 years…boy, did we have some fun times together curating our beloved collections. After taking a break to focus on my career as an interior decorator, it’s time to re-focus on hld, which i’m soon launching as an online store, offering a curated collection of baby things very similar to the stuff we carried at “the store,” what we called our labor of love.

I could not be more excited to share my new business cards with you, originally designed by Shannon at EightCrazy Designs and then reworked by graphic designer and illustrator Tabitha Emma.  Tabitha did a great job on my new hld logo and online store and incorporating hld into my existing website and blog to form a cohesive brand.

so many exciting things are happening right now for hey little diddle, including a collaboration for some exclusive baby announcements, designed by one of best in the stationery industry.  One of my other talented sisters (i have 3), Connie Echeverria, founder and designer of the amazing MochilaMia Handmade Designs will be selling her line of handknit afghans, baby booties, ponchos, etc…stay tuned for details…have a great day!  xocc ♥

i gotta have…

All things kids…since I’ve been scouring the internet and reconnecting with my coveted sources (from my Hey Little Diddle brick and mortar days 1994-2007) as I put together  my collection for my new big cartel store, Hey Little Diddle, it seems fitting that I focus on kidstuff this week…here are some of my faves, the likes of which inspire me to no end…i adore childrens’ fashion and really all things kids…

1.  Chakra…

Designer and founder Bindu Kasinadhuni got her master’s degree at Philadelphia University, where my sister used to teach and which is minutes from my house. I just love her company’s philosophy, responsible manufacturing practices and the fact that everything is hand dyed and block printed using an ancient Indian printing technique. She’s also providing work to under-privileged artisan women in a small coastal Indian village. She simply speaks my language…

2.  Handmade baby mocs by Susan of Freshly Picked

3.  Lots of inspiration…
