Well hello there! That was some fishing trip! Actually I didn’t catch any real fish, but I have been working since the summer on an awesome new professional project that is taking up a lot of my time. Everyone is doing great, thank goodness…i have missed you guys though, very much, and I’m happy to be back…
I’m ready for fall and I’m dying for a new pair of Frye boots to keep my black “harness” pair company…hmmm so many to choose from…and i LoVe this shoemaking company, with a rich heritage rooted in a small New England town…
beautifully crafted footwear that lasts a lifetime and only gets better with age…mine are 5 years old and are yet to be broken in…i’m only getting started…
these ‘Dorado’ ones are sweet as well, crafted from gaucho leather…and the sole is to die…soles, my friends, really do matter…
so many boots, so little time…how does one choose?

Another Brooklyn gem, this company is all about the handmade, return of the craft & one-of-a-kinds. Olga is actually a dog, the gorgeous chocolate lab that you see in the photos, and then there’s the humans behind the operation, Brazilian-born Richard and Renato.

i love Convoy Tumblr. i have not confirmed its editor (i think it’s a guy) but i do really really love it. i think that when others’ photos are used…the photographer, stylist, owner etc. should be credited absolutely and i always do so with a linkback whenever possible. that’s the one thing about Convoy that i don’t love (bugs me actually and i’m sure lots of others)…there’s a disclaimer with an email address on the bottom but that’s not enough, i really want to know the source…i know it takes lots of time but it’s worth it for all involved…if any of these photos are yours, please let me know and i will credit you immediately because these are some of the best product shots (and the best guy stuff, cool for dad) i’ve seen on the net…
