Eden Rocks

Hello! Just got back from a wonderful long-overdue vacation with my hubs (no kids) in Miami Beach and Key West.  It was awesome and Miami Beach was more beautiful than ever. We did a lot of non-touristy stuff all over the city and discovered how much we both love the place…

Our stay at the historic Eden Roc Resort & Spa, totally redone and a dream, was unforgettable…the food, all farm-to-table fresh at the renowned 1500° restaurant, was simply succulent…the grounds amazing with 3 infinity pools, 2 hot tubs & the Atlantic Ocean everywhere you turn…the gym gorgeous with an ocean front view…and best of all was the luxurious bed, with the top-notch mattress, crisp white linens and tons of fluffy down pillows, just the way we like it!

My hubs went to the University of Miami and I think he left his heart in South Florida many years ago…and I also have fond memories visiting Miami in the summers on my way to Colombia.  Scott loves the Spanish culture and so do I, of course.  With so much to offer (to-die-for real estate, relaxed lifestyle & gorgeous weather), we are considering a move there after our kids are all off to college…

I’ve been busy working with my private clients and at Restoration and planning my return to school (hopefully in the fall) to study graphic design at the Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia. I already have a degree, but I’ve always been interested in exploring other areas of design, so I’m gonna go for it!  Hope you all are well…see you soon xocc ♥

bala cynwyd

Bala Cynwyd is the town (settled by Welsh Quakers in 1680) that i live in located right outside of Philadelphia-literally i can be in center city within 10 minutes if there’s no traffic and yet it seems a world away-lots of green space, trees, sidewalks and lovely old homes (Philadelphia has the charming old historic homes)…here are some shots i took yesterday while walking my dog, Chloe…

amsterdam, my love

Amsterdam is one of my favorite cities in the world…it’s way at the top of my short list…it’s like a large village with so many interesting neighborhoods, lovely people, beautiful architecture, amazing multi-cultural food, great shopping, etc. etc. etc…i could really go on forever…so naturally when i was reading Solid Frog and came across this house in Amsterdam, my heart skipped a beat and i knew i had to share it with you…

i would actually hurt someone for these doors…kidding, but I’d think twice…

white kitchen…if you read my blog i really need not say more…

loVe the ‘s’ hooks to hang stuff, I actually first saw this in an incredible jeans store in Amsterdam…so cool…

antique chandeliers in the white kitchen that i won’t say anymore about…

my dream work station for just about anything…wrapping, designing, writing…sigh…

love this comfy chair & ottoman…and although that sofa looks great and fits the space perfectly, i’d opt for the oversize feather-down cushion sofa that probably wouldn’t fit up the staircase…and those windows look pretty narrow also so hoisting would be out of the question…hmmm…i’d find a way to get it in…

Amsterdam, I love you and hope to see you again very soon, maybe after barcelona?  Have a great day, xocc ♥

heading to park slope!

Hello, hope you had a great weekend. It’s spring break this week and I’m heading to Manhattan and Park Slope with my 14-year-old son and his friend…excited to tour the neighborhood that New York Magazine named the “most livable neighborhood in New York.” I already got restaurant tips from my Brooklyn twitter friends, wallpaper designer Kimberly Lewis and stylist Kristina Murphy so I’m all set (thank you!)…and I’m also excited to check out the brownstones and cool shops…

I’ll be back in a few days…enjoy your week, xocc ♥
