BALA CYNWYD AND NARBERTH, PA
Claudia and her sister Maria, an interior architect, are best known for their work at their beloved Hey Little Diddle, the popular award-winning brick and mortar lifestyle boutique and interior design business they co-owned and operated from 1994-2006. The sisters’ relaxed California style and sophisticated European aesthetic quickly became a hit for interiors and their store the go-to emporium for young moms to shop for designer and handmade clothing, bed linens, furnishings and gifts. Claudia & Maria used their unique creative talents to establish a successful interior design business through Hey Little Diddle, which paved the way for their respective careers in design.
CLAUDIA CLOBES YUDIS DESIGN STUDIO, BALA CYNWYD, PA
Claudia was born in Colombia, raised in Washington, D.C. and spent summers in South America. She founded her independent interior design & decorating business in 2006. Claudia is an entrepreneur who always follows her heart, “growing and changing so I can learn the most I can in my trade that I love.” The short truth of it is “I just like to design cool stuff that not only looks good, but feels good and I want to make my clients happy while making a difference AND supporting the local economy. That’s about it!”
After a European trip upon graduation, Claudia quickly got to work on her dream of owning a retail store and becoming an interior decorator. Driven by a deep-seated entrepreneurial spirit, Claudia worked her way up through the ranks and became a shoe buyer at an international shoe company based in New York City. She worked as a stylist and a trend forecaster and experienced firsthand all the ins and outs of the specialty retail and manufacturing trade.
Mercantilism is in Claudia’s blood, her maternal grandfather was a South American leather dealer, owned a shoe factory and founded a chain of retail shoe stores. Her paternal grandmother was a haute couture wedding gown designer, sewing in her home studio to make a living after becoming a widow.
To all our loyal clients and partners, thank you. If you are new, a warm welcome.
